For teachers
Go to cymo.io, click “Online classroom” on the home page.
On Cymo Education entrance page, click “I’m a teacher”, and you can choose
to click “New
class”,” Book a class” or “My classrooms” for the next step.
Teachers need to log in
before starting or booking a class.
>To start a new class<< /h3>>
Click “New class” and you’ll see
“Class ID” in “Classroom
configurations”.
You need to enter the name you want to use in the class. You can also enter a topic
for the
class, and set up the
booth languages. The default booth languages are English and Chinese. Click
“Modify” to change the
languages.
Check “Setup password” and you will get a password randomly. You can also
change
the password.
Click “Advance settings” you can select the video resolution, and you can
also
enter the class
introduction in the box under “Class content”. After that, click
“Save”.
If there are materials, including documents in all format, videos and audios you want
to
either play in the class or
share with the students, you can click “Browse” or drag the file into
the box
under “Upload
materials”. In the online classroom, you can play the audios and videos you
uploaded,
and the students can
also download files.
Click “Share classroom link”, you’ll see classroom information,
including
Classroom ID, classroom
URL and password if you checked “Setup password” earlier. Click
“Copy
URLs” or “Share
by email” to share it with students.
After all settings are done, click “Start class” to enter the online
classroom.
>To book a class<< /h3>>
Click “Book a class”, and you can select the
start date, start time and end time
for the class. If in a
period of time, there will be a class every day with the same start and end
time, then you
can switch on
“Regular class”. After you set up the end date, the
classroom
will be
available every day from the
“Start time” to the “End time” in the period of
time.
Click
“Confirm” after
it’s all set up.
After clicking “Confirm”, you will see a “Classroom
booked” notice.
And you will also see the
classroom information including the class ID, booth languages, the start
time and the end
time.
You can view the history of the classrooms you created by click “My
classrooms”.
The booth languages and all other settings can be modified in
“Classroom
configurations”.
Click “Start class” to enter the online classrooms.

After entering into the online classroom, you
can click “Settings” to select
“My camera” and
“My microphone” and check or uncheck “Turn off my
camera” and
“Turn off my
microphone” to turn them off or on. You can also select the
resolution of your camera
and the standard of your
microphone.
Click “Microphone” button to turn it off or on.
Click “Camera” button to turn it off or on.
Click “Share screen” button, you can choose to share your
entire screen, your
application window or your
chrome tab to the students in the online classroom.
Click “Play media”, you can play the audio or video file
you uploaded in advance,
or if you haven’t
uploaded any file, you can upload a file and then play it, and it
won’t take long.
Click “Invite” button, and you will share classroom
information with your
students.
Click “Students” button, you will see the list of all
students in the online
classroom. Here you can
click the loudspeaker icon to hear a certain student, and other
students won’t hear
it. If you want a certain
student to answer your question and you want others to hear this
student, just click the
microphone icon. If any
student clicks “Raise hand”,you will see a raise-hand
icon beside the
student’s avatar, and at the
same time you will receive a notice on your screen. Here in
the list you will also see
if the students are in
the booth and what output language channel they are in.
Click “Chats” button, and you can send messages and view
the messages sent by
students.
Click “Info” button to view the class title and class
content you edited earlier.
Here you can also
upload and download files.
Click “Fullscreen” button to switch to full-screen mode.
Press the Esc key on
your keyboard to quit
full-screen mode.
Click “language” to select the user interface language.
Click your name or photo, and click “My profile” to view
and edit your personal
information, including
your photo, name, email address, phone number, nickname, address and
your introduction. You
can also view the
history of the classrooms you created by clicking “My
classrooms”. Check or
uncheck “Show expired
classrooms” to show or hide the expired classrooms. Click
“Settings” to
view and modify the
settings of the classroom. Click “Delete” to delete the
classroom, or you can
click “Delete
all” to delete all the classroom history. By clicking
“Start class” you
can also enter the
classroom.
Click menu button, if you click “Exit class” you
will exit the classroom
while the students may
still be here in the online classroom; if you click “End this
class”, then you
will receive a notice on
your screen saying “If you end this class, all students will
exit the classroom
immediately”. Once you
click “Confirm”, the class is over, and everyone is out
of the classroom
automatically.
After you exit the classroom, we recommend you to rate your
using experience and leave
your feedback.
- For students<< /h3>>
Go to cymo.io, click “Online
classroom” on the home page. Students don’t
need to log in to enter an
online classroom.
On Cymo Education entrance page, click “I’m a
student”. Enter the classroom
ID you received and
click “Start class”, you will see
“Join class” page, and the class
information including
class ID, start time and end time. Enter the name that
you want to use in the class. Click
“Start class”
to enter the online classroom.

Click
“Settings”
and you can select your microphone and its
resolution.
Click “Enter SI booth” to enter the
online booth.
Click “Recorder” to record your
practice and save it to your device. You can
also
upload it and your
teacher can give you comments and suggestions.
Click “Raise hand” to show your
teacher that you want to speak, ask or answer
questions. After you raised
your hands, your teacher will see a raise-hand
icon. And you need to click “Raise
hand” once again to
put down your hand, and your raised-hand icon
will disappear on your teacher’s screen.
Click “Classmates”, you will see the
list of online classmates.
Click “Chats” button, and you can
send messages and view the messages sent by
others.
Click “Info” button to view the class
title and class content edited earlier by
the teacher. Here you can
also download files.

In the online
classroom,
click “Enter SI booth” and
you’ll enter the online
booth.
Both the floor volume and the booth
volume can be adjusted.
Click “Settings” and you can
select your microphone and its
resolution.
Click “Recorder” to record
your practice and save it to your
device. You can also
upload it and your
teacher can give you comments and
suggestions.
Click “Classmates”, you will
see the list of online classmates.
Click “Chats” button, and you
can send messages and view the messages
sent by
others.
Click the output language, for instance,
if you are interpreting from English
into Chinese,
then you should click
Chinese.
Click the blue button to send a switch
signal to your booth mate.
Click the green button to send
“Ok” to your booth mate.
The switch and ok signals are only for
learning and practice use in the booth
of the online
classroom.
Click “Mic” button to turn on
or off the microphone. You will also see
the notice
on your screen telling
you that your microphone is turned on or
off. The button is red when your
microphone is on,
and it is gray when
it’s off.
Click “Leave booth” and you
are going back to the online classroom
